I am just a guy who studies, works, eats, sleeps, wakes up (so far like a nerd )... and if he finds time he travels as much as he can. I am not a professional guide, but since i was the one who always show his favorite places to his erasmus friends from abroad, i decided to be a guddy.
I've been travelling for years, and i was booking some guides to show me around, but they were not even close to guddy. They were just paid guides like taxi drivers. But we, guddys being more friends than guides. We show/are shown the best sightseeing, eating, drinking places which only locals can know. If i book a unlicensed guddy, it is much cheaper than licensed guides. And guddys are not guiding 30 people at the same time like other guides do. Maximum number of people is 5(mostly it is 2-3 depending on my experiences. And it is also a good way to meet with other travellers. I am on local guddy to guide my future foreign friends who will travel to Istanbul and i think it is the best way to make friend and money at the same time.

It was my first experience as a tour guide (local guddy), so I was totally stressed, because I didn’t know what to expect. Unnecessarily - at the first moment we found common ground :) Emre is a very nice, open minded and easy going person. It was such a pleasure hanging out with him. I hope you will show me Istanbul soon. and we will drink some Raki :)
