Walking tour in the historic center of the city, begins at the XV November Square. We walk through the squares and streets that tell the history of Rio de Janeiro in colonial times (1502-1822) and imperial times (1822-1889). Following the tracks of the past, we will learn about Rio de Janeiro, the city of Saint Sebastian, as its Portuguese foundation in 1565. We will visit old constructions from colonial times like Convento de Santo Antônio, Paço Imperial, Candelária church, passing through the Empire time walking around the little streets of downtown and the squares of the old city. We also visit Cinelândia square (where we can see Municipal Theater and National Library, both built in the early 20th century and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
